Now, there are several different ways you can create this bloody eye nail look, I will be going over a couple here. I will be starting off with using a solid base coat or ombre nail.

If you start your design off with a background or base coat color, you want to make sure that colors like, black, green, blue, and red will show up good against the color or ombre design you pick for your base coat.

I used the color Flamingo as my base coat color. It is a beautiful pink or mauve polish with a hint of orange. After my base coat has dried, I used my white polish and my nail brush and made a semi-circle going off the nail and filled that circle in with white.

(side note, your circles do not need to be 100% perfect, you will be outlining the design in black later.)

Next, I took my green nail polish and nail brush and added a medium-size circle inside the eye, leaving room for the eye veins. You want to be sure the eye color circle is big enough to fit your pupil and small enough to fit in eye veins.

Now with my red polish and nail brush, I am going to outline the back part of my circle (eye) and add in the thin eye veins. When creating the eye veins, remember eye veins are not straight lines. Eye Veins are thin curvy lines going toward the center of the eye. Try to make your eye veins going in different directions but working their way toward the color of the eye and fading off.

Also with my red nail polish and nail brush, I am adding in the optical nerve. For that, I made a curvy triangle shape on the back of the eye. Pulling a small thin curvy line from the back of the eye and coming to a point and then connecting the point with another curvy line going back down the other side of the back of the eye. You should see a weird triangle shape when complete. After that, fill in the optical nerve with your red polish. You may also decide to make your outline lines of the eye a bit thicker with your red polish to make the eye and the optical nerve to look like they are one piece.

With my black nail polish, I am going to outline my design. You may want to thin out your polish with acetone if your polish is thick.

Next, add in a small black pupil inside the color of the eye. You may also add in a small white dot inside the pupil if you have room. This is optional.

Now, simply fill the nail up with this design and you are finished! Be creative and have the eyes going in a different direction, having different eye colors, and looking different ways or keep it simple and just add a few bloody eyes on the nail!
