3rd Design: Jack Skellington
For this design I used the following items, keep in mind you may also use any alternatives that you want.
Sinful Colors Feel the Vibe
Sally Hansen Smoky Black mixed with Broadway Black
White and Black Art Deco or White Polish
and
A Nail Brush.
To start this design I applied two layers of my, Feel the Vibe, polish as my base coat. You want to make sure you have a real good opaque finish and let your base coat completely dry before starting your design.
Next, I am going in with my white nail polish and nail art brush ( or my white art deco) and sketch in a white circle in the center of my nail. Once I am happy with the circle placement and look, I am going to fill in the circle with white polish. Remember, this is going to be Jacks face, so you want to make sure you have no sheer areas in your circle.
Sketching in the circle in the middle of the nail.
Filling in the circle with white.
Now its time to add in Jacks eyes. For this, I used my black polish and a nail brush. I made two lines where I wanted the eyes at and made angled football shapes for his eyes.
For the nose, I added two teardrop shapes very close, side by side each other in the middle of the face. Jacks mouth is a simple stitch line. All you need to do is add an exaggerated smile line and add straight line stitching to make a perfect Jack smile!
After you have finished with the face details, I am going to outline the circle (Jack's face) with black polish to finish off his look.
For the finishing touches, I am going to polish in vertical lines down the nail, around Jack's face, to give the nail more of a dramatic look. Once you have completed that, add your topcoat and your design will be complete!
